BIODATA OF ADVISORY COUNCIL MEMBERS 2006-2008
 
1. H.H. Swamy Tattva vidananda Saraswati is a monk in the tradition of Adi Sankara and has been a great teacher of Vedanta as well as Sanskrit language. He regularly teaches these subjects six months in his Brahama Vidya Kutir in Hyderabad, India and six months in Arsha Vidya Gurukulam at Saylorsburg in PA, USA. He also delivers a number of Foundation lectures in India and USA. He has written and translated about 20 books in English and Telugu, covering a wide spectrum of spirituality and religion. His book in English titled "Science in Krishna Yajurveda" is considered an important contribution in the area of scientific understanding of Vedic texts. Interestingly he has Ph.D degrees in both Organic Chemistry as well as Kriishna Yajur Veda.

. Sri Madhura Krishna Murty Sastry founder of Viswa Vigjnana Pratishthanam is a well known scholar in Vastu and Jyotisha shastras. He taught Vastu and Jyotisha in the renowned Maharshi Mahesh Yogi’s Institute in India and also delivered lectures in Holland and Germany.

      Sri Sastry has written several books on Vasu and Jyotisha Shastras and also prepares the Panchanga regularly. He is the recipient of several awards and titles like Jyotirvastu Vidya Vachaspati, Jyotisha Vidyana Bhaskara etc.

. Brhama Shri .K.V.Krishna Murthy , the Chairman & Managing Trustee of I-SERVE, the Institute of Scientific Research in Vedas, is a Vedic Scholar of national repute and also a post graduate in Modern Mathematics. He is the Vidyadhikari (Education Officer) and Trustee of the Avadhoota Datta Peetham, Mysore established by H.H.Sri Ganapati Sachhidanand Swamy. He has organized a number of scientific seminars and conferences since its inception of I-SERVE in 2003.
           Shri. Murthy has written a number of books in Sanskrit, English and Telugu of which the biography of His Holiness (Ganapathi Sachchidananda Sadguru Charithra Samgraha) got translated into English, German, French, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi etc. He has received numerous awards and honors from government as well as private literary and scientific organizations.

.Dr. V.R.Pantulu is an internationally known expert in Environment and aquatic biology and contributed significantly to the United Nations Programs. He was a member of the select group of scientists invited by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences to select priorities in Research and Development during the nineties of the last century, in the field of environment. Dr. Pantulu also worked as a consultant to Asian Development Bank on many vital projects.

7.Dr Y.L. Nene who retired as Deputy Director General from International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), is an agricultural scientist with a Ph.D in Plant Pathology (Plant Virology) from the University of Illinois , USA . Dr Nene was assistant, associate, and full professor and Head, Plant Pathology at G.B. Pant University of Agriculture, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand , India from 1960 to 1974. Dr Nene has won the International Rice Research Prize in a worldwide competition that was organized by the FAO. In ICRISAT he did commendable work in Pulses, groundnuts etc.

       In 1996, Dr Nene has founded the Asian Agri-History Foundation (AAHF). and has been working as its Chairman (AAHF) and also as Senior Managing Editor of a quarterly journal “Asian Agri-History”. He has published more than 500 research papers, books, and bulletins. Researching agricultural heritage of India is currently a passion for Dr Nene and he plans to spend rest of his life to the mission of AAHF.

.Dr. V.P. Dimri is the Director of the well-known National Geophysical Research Institute. He obtained his Ph.D. in Geophysics and was also awarded prestigious postdoctoral fellow by Royal Norwegian Council for Science & Industrial Research, Oslo . He was a visiting Fellow of Norwegian Research Council, Oslo (1999). He was also awarded Senior DAAD Fellowship in University of Kiel , Germany (1996). He made significant contributions in the fields of geophysical signal processing, information theory, inversion, mathematical modelling and fractal approach for analysis and interpretation of geophysical data for exploration of oil, mineral, groundwater and earthquake studies.

   Dr. Dimri has authored two books and several research papers. He is a Fellow of Indian National Science Academy, A.P, Akademi of Sciences, Geological Society of India, and Indian Geophysical Union. He is a recipient of prestigious National Mineral Award of the Govt of India (1992-93).

9.Dr. P.B.A.Venkatacharya is a well known Ayurvedic physician in the country. In the early part of his career, he worked as Medical officer in Coal Mines under the Ministry of Labour, Govt. of India. Subsequently he joined the Dr. B.R.K.Rao Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital in Hyderabad and continued to rise to the position of Superintendent and Head of Research there. He has a long experience of teaching and wrote three books viz. 1. Principles of Ayurvedic Treatment 2. Kaya Chikitsa and 3. Pancha Karma Chitsa.

10. Dr. Bikkina Laxmi is a person with wide variety of interests. Basically a commerce graduate, she holds a number of diplomas from within as well as out side India . She is a biotherapist, an occupuncturist, a practioner of yoga and Nature cure, besides a specialist in Radionics. She has also specialized in medicinal plants, flower therapy etc. She has written a book on Vedic Ecology.

.Dr.C.S.R.Prabhu with a Masters in Computer Science, IIT, Bombay, has worked in many Tata companies, CMC and a couple of American companies before joining the National Informatics Center, Hyderabad, where he is presently holding the post of Deputy Director General. He is one of the highly acclaimed scientists who has made practical use of the Vedic science and technology in producing rare metals and foods unknown to the modern metallurgists and nutritionists.

.Dr. R.V.S.S.Avadhanulu is an M.Sc in Nuclear Physics and Ph.D in Sanskrit. He has the distinction of designing the first Vedic database in the world. He got appreciation from the Official Language Committee of Parliament for designing the first Telugu and Hindi FORTRAN compilers in the country. He is the chief consultant to Veda Bharati Trust, an organization striving to preserve Vedas on CDs. He was the recipient of KBGD Madhanani / Prajna Bharati award for Excellence in Nation Building Activity. He retired as Head of Computer Division in the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences , Hyderabad.
